Downtown Construction Updates
Construction will affect Wyndham Street, but Douglas Street will remain accessible, and a temporary connection between Quebec Street and Douglas Street is planned once that phase begins. Pedestrian access downtown will also be maintained throughout construction.
Whats happening on douglas street…
Construction in downtown Guelph is expected to continue from approximately April through December 2026. While parts of Wyndham Street will be affected, Red Brick Café on Douglas Street remains open and accessible. Customers will still be able to access Douglas Street, including travel through to Quebec Street as construction phases progress, and pedestrian access throughout downtown will be maintained. We’ll continue sharing updates online, in-store, and on social media to make visiting us as easy as possible.

Yes! Free 2-hour parking is available in the Macdonell Lot, and other downtown parking options remain open.
